i want to say, the “all jews are shit, hitler was good, may islam prevail and free palestine” shit doesn’t help either. this is NOT a religious war, it’s one of almost classic colonization, apartheid, white supremacism. by repeating the islam-versus-judaism crap, we affirm zionist narratives and miss the point. ALSO, i feel VERY uncomfortable by a lot of the “solidarity” coming from many turks who REALLY know very little about palestine (sorry, the turkish flag has no place in pro-palestine rallies, those people should look into their own governments cooperation, history and continuous close ties to the zionists and do something about THAT instead of boasting like they are the saviors of some sanctified, superhuman palestinians (who are all imagined as pious muslims on top)
i want to add that i encounter this attitude here in europe among some islamic communities that really have no idea what is going on in palestine. the usual palestine-solidarity folks i am accustomed to have nothing to do with this attitude.
